Rennes School of Business has appointed its new Academic Dean

In line with the Rennes SB strategic development plan 2018-2023, Dr Helmi Hammami is appointed as the Academic Dean of the school as of January 1st, 2020.

Dr. Helmi Hammami has served as the Senior Advisor to the Dean, the Head of the Department of Finance and Accounting, and the Head of the Department of Strategy and Innovation at Rennes SB. He held several academic senior managerial positions before joining Rennes SB. With an extensive international experience especially in the middle East, he will contribute to the endeavor of leading the strategic reform of Rennes SB. Dr. Hammami is well-versed in academic reforms especially in relation to the requirements of international accreditations and digital transformations. He has good knowledge of the North-American and the French higher education systems, in particular.

Helmi Hammami holds a PhD in Accounting and Finance from Bocconi University – Italy. He is a former resident fellow of the Collegio di Milano, and recipient of the French Government fellowship to outstanding overseas academics. He is specializing in accounting related topics notably International accounting (IFRS), internal control risk assessment, fraud detection and prevention, Business Process Reengineering for cost efficiency and accounting information systems.  He sits on the board of several professional bodies and SMEs.

At the end of the first year of our 2018/23 strategic plan, we have completely renewed the School’s Executive Committee” explains Thomas Froehlicher, Director General of Rennes School of Business.
