Professor and holder of the Geopolitics Chair of Rennes School of Business, Associate Professor of History and Doctor of Laws, Thomas Flichy de la Neuville was previously a professor at the Institute of Political Studies in Bordeaux, at the Ecole Navale and at the University of Paris then at the Ecole Spéciale Militaire de Saint-Cyr (ESM Saint-Cyr). Former student in Persian of the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations (INALCO) and specialist of the diplomacy in the 18th century and the diplomatic history of Iran, his latest work focuses on French relations with Persia and China in the Age of Enlightenment. He is author and co-author of several books including “Geopolitics of Iran. From the confined empire to the return of power “, PUF, 2015.
