Unframed Talking: Sandrine Plasseraud talks social media and launching a specialised communications agency

In order to celebrate its 30th anniversary, the teams at Rennes School of Business have gone looking for some of the most ‘Unframed’ Alumni profiles to share in its new dedicated podcast series.

The new podcast “Unframed Talking” by Rennes School of Business features talks with a range of inspiring men and women who attended the School. These exceptional members of our Alumni talk about the challenges, successes and lessons learned in their careers so far, and the instances in which they thought, or acted, “outside the frame.”

In this ninth episode of the podcast, we meet Sandrine Plasseraud, a graduate of the Programme Grande Ecole at Rennes School of Business. She is the former president of We Are Social France, a communications agency specialising in social media, that she launched in 2010. The agency’s mission is to provide strategic and creative support to brands for their social media activities and it had expanded to employ 120 employees when Sandrine left in 2021.

A student of Cohort 6 of the Programme Grande Ecole, Sandrine immediately understood the challenges of new technologies and the significant role they would play in customer relations. She graduated in 1999 in England after her last year abroad and stayed in the country for 7 years, working in various positions and companies, notably for Renault. In this episode, Sandrine looks back at her international career and the highlights of her education. She also shares some advice on how to manage new generations, who she sees as a brilliant and promising group of young people. Her advice to students is “Be ambitious but be kind”.

According to Sandrine, “I have given many employees the opportunity to shape their own profession; and it is these professions that made the agency shine.
