The MSc in Logistics, Supply Chain and Purchasing at Rennes School of Business welcomes its patron: Mustafa Tonguç, CEO of DHL Express Germany, Chairman of the Board DHL Express Germany and DHL Express Austria.

Mustafa Tonguç, an expert in the logistics sector

On November 25, 2025, Mustafa Tonguç met with students from the MSc in Logistics, Supply Chain and Purchasing to discuss his international career and share his expertise in a sector in which he has had an exemplary career.

During his presentation entitled ‘Management and Leadership in Volatile Times’, co-panelled by Professor Ramzi Hammami, Academic Dean of Rennes School of Business, Mustafa Tonguç addressed key issues such as the supply chain, investments and cost control. The discussions provided an opportunity to explore topics related to the global supply chain, logistics, purchasing and emerging trends, enriched by Mustafa Tonguç’s sector expertise, Ramzi Hammami’s academic analysis and the active contribution of students, whose questions and critical thinking fuelled the exchange.

A comprehensive career within the DHL Group

Mustafa Tonguç has worked at DHL for over 25 years, where he has gradually acquired numerous skills and deepened his knowledge of the logistics sector through various roles. His contribution to improving quality standards has been particularly notable. Through this journey, Mustafa Tonguç has gained in-depth knowledge of all customer-facing functions within the company.

As a committed manager, he is also personally involved in issues such as diversity, interculturalism, collaboration, creating a motivating work environment, valuing all employees, and modernising the DHL Express infrastructure.

A patronage that brings opportunities for students

Thanks to this patronage, MSc students benefit from privileged access behind the scenes of a major player in the logistics sector. They can deepen their understanding of the challenges of the profession and make the link between theory and practice.

This collaboration helps to strengthen the international and applied dimension of the programme, bringing the teaching closer to the reality of global businesses.
