Rennes School of Business, one of the most international French Business Schools with 55% international students, 95% international faculty and 70 nationalities on campus, has announced the appointment of Ben Chaumette as Senior Advisor to the Dean, Global School.  His mission is to support Rennes School of Business in its international business development and strategy.

With over 20 years of experience in management and international negotiation (Finance, M&A, International Strategy and Business Development), Ben Chaumette has conducted multiple complex negotiations in Asia, Africa, Central Asia and Europe. Before joining Rennes SB, he spent several years as CEO of Europ Assistance Asia and has been a director of several different companies in these regions.

The appointment of Ben Chaumette is in line with Rennes School of Business’ strategy of working towards a population that is comprised of two thirds international students, further diversifying the origins of students, and ensuring that all initial and continuous training programmes have a solid grounding in the international market. At the start of the 2020-2021 academic year, Rennes SB was able to maintain its international recruitment figures and observed a strong diversification of the differing international origins of its students.

With his vast experience in global leadership, Ben Chaumette brings a transversal and open-minded view of the new borders of the international experience, a resolutely disruptive view that is consistent with our #UnframedThinking signature, that will give new impetus to the School’s strategy of global inclusion. Together, we will prepare for the era of globalisation 2.0, in a School whose identity has been built on its international DNA since it was opened almost 30 years ago.” says Thomas Froehlicher, Director General of Rennes School of Business.

The appointment of Ben Chaumette comes halfway through the 2019-23 Strategic Plan, as Rennes School of Business also announces its expansion to a new campus in Paris. The move will help the School to fully benefit from the educational developments that have been achieved during the global pandemic, particularly the new eLive teaching methods that combine internationalisation and educational innovation.
