Inauguration of the Simone Veil Hall: an inspiring figure at the heart of our Paris campus

On Thursday 23 October 2025, our Paris campus celebrated the inauguration of the Simone Veil Hall, attended by students from the site and members of the Rennes SB community. A tribute to Simone Veil, a figure of courage and commitment

The Simone Veil Hall pays tribute to a personality whose actions had a profound impact on French society. A magistrate, President of the European Parliament, member of the Académie Française, and Holocaust survivor, Simone Veil is particularly known for having introduced the law decriminalising voluntary termination of pregnancy (IVG) in 1974. This landmark legislation, adopted thanks to her courage and determination, remains one of the strongest symbols of women’s emancipation and the defence of individual freedoms.

A space for inspiration and dialogue

The inauguration was an opportunity to discover this space dedicated to conferences, debates and meetings, promoting dialogue and reflection on subjects that are essential to the academic and civic education of our students. This symbolic event reinforces the identity of our Paris campus and reminds us of the importance of drawing inspiration from exceptional journeys. The Simone Veil Hall honours the legacy of a figure who left her mark on French and international history.
We would like to thank all the students and members of the community who took part in this inauguration, making it a memorable and inspiring day for our school.
