Rennes School of Business climbs into the Top 10 of the 2021 Up2School ranking

Rennes School of Business has been named in the Top 10 of the Up2School rankings of French business schools whose start-ups have the highest revenues.

Entrepreneurial talent

Given the increasing numbers of business school graduates that go on to create their own companies, the recent Up2School ranking aims to measure the entrepreneurial efforts of French Grandes Écoles, based solely on the measurement of the sums raised by start-ups created by their alumni.

Rennes School of Business has been ranked 9th in France amongst the top business schools whose students have gone on to create successful start-ups. Rennes SB notably owes its position to Voodoo, a video game developer and publisher based in Paris, co-founded by Laurent Ritter, who graduated from Rennes SB in 2010. With a turnover of €1,13M in 2016, 71 million in 2017 and 325 million in 2018, the French start-up has attracted the eye of major players such as Goldman Sachs and Tencent.

Innostart

In order to encourage innovation and support students as they launch and lead their different entrepreneurial projects, Rennes School of Business founded its Innostart incubator in 2014 in partnership with INSA Rennes. Start-ups can benefit from a minimum of six months’ incubation with two €1,000 grants awarded each year to support project launches. So far, 10 businesses have been created within the School including Steeple and Newcy!
