The Master in Strategic Management of Transitions prepares future managers & entrepreneurs with interdisciplinary knowledge, managerial skills and an entrepreneurial mindset. Participants are prepared to develop and deploy innovative solutions, collaborate effectively, and build or lead organisations towards accelerated ecological, societal and digital transitions, thus contributing to a more sustainable and equitable world.

Mission

Highlights of the programme:

  • Develop an interdisciplinary perspective regarding the complex dynamics of transitions by drawing on the advanced expertise of Rennes SB’s international Faculty and research centres.
  • Revisit key managerial topics through the sustainability and entrepreneurial lenses.
  • Benefit from challenging, hands-on teaching methods based on practical cases, design-thinking techniques and interactive simulations.
  • Develop techniques to address issues of transition within corporations and/or launch your own venture thanks to coaching and immersive activities.
  • The programme has applied for the grade of Master and should be certified RNCP level 7*.

Entry requirements

  • Master 1: 3-year Bachelor’s Degree
  • Master 2: 4-year Bachelor’s Degree or 3-year Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 1 year professional experience.

English proficiency

  • TOEIC score of 785, IELTS score of 6.0, TOEFL score of 80, Cambridge B2, or completion of the last two years of education in English.

Specialisations

  • The M2 in Entrepreneurship & Innovation is designed for students who wish to launch their own business ventures. Jointly run with INSA engineering school, business & engineering students pool their ideas to create companies from the ideation stage, all the way to financing and implementation. This track is taught mainly in French. A C1 level is required to apply.
  • The M2 in Sustainability and Transition Management allows students to contribute actively to current socio-ecological transitions by becoming actors of change at policy (macro), organisational (meso) and operational (micro) levels.
