Two of our Indian students receive the Charpak Master’s scholarship

The two students tell us how they are feeling after having learned that they are going to benefit from the Charpak Master’s scholarship.

Girish Akoliya

My name is Girish Akoliya, I’m a graduate in Human Resources Management and originally from Delhi. I’m delighted to be joining the Master’s in Management programme at Rennes School of Business in Fall 2020. I did a lot of research before deciding and finally found that Rennes School of Business was a very good fit for me to have a bright future as it was offering high-quality programmes.

My interest in studying in France comes from the things I have learned during my childhood, as my family has strong links with the country. So, I was brought up in close contact with the culture, community and traditions of France. After the completion of my graduation I worked for the Agence Française de Développement, a division of the French Embassy in India where I worked in the Administration Department.

Receiving the Charpak Master’s scholarship is a great honour for me as I look forward to being a part of a renowned institution. The facilities and help provided by the Scholarships from Campus France makes it much easier for students from different regions to study in France in whatever course or college they choose. It will give me the financial and community support that I will need throughout my journey at the school, as well as help with adapting to life in France. I was so worried about the results because of the spread of COVID-19, but when results were announced I was relieved. Now, I’m all set to achieve my goal of becoming a responsible and respected Human Resources Leader.

Mansi Vats

My name is Mansi Vats, I’m originally from Delhi and a graduate in the field of Business Administration at Delhi University. Today, I’m delighted to join the Master’s in Management programme at Rennes School of Business in Fall 2020. I have chosen to pursue a Master’s in Management (PGE) because I am captivated by the impact Managers have on achieving an organisation’s objectives. I chose this university because of its great reputation, its renowned academic excellence and good industry links as well as the flexible postgraduate schemes with the variety of exchange formulae.

My interest in studying in France comes from when I did my internship in the Institut Français, the Indian Cultural office of the French Embassy. It opened my eyes to the facilities and the sponsorships being provided by the French government to young Indians willing to study in France. Therefore, I decided to learn French as an additional language and started getting more and more into the culture, community, people and traditions of France.

Receiving the Charpak Master’s scholarship is a great honour for me because when I was searching for business schools and applying for the scholarship, I found the Campus France, Delhi office and the Campus France managers very supportive and helpful. With the help of Campus France, I was able to find the right course and the right school. I applied to the school and the scholarship and was selected for Rennes School of Business but had to wait longer to receive the result of the Charpak Masters Scholarship. Due to the spread of COVID-19, everything was on pause and I was worried about the situation and my results, but I didn’t lose my hope and faith.

After waiting for two months I finally got the selection result from Campus France for the Charpak Master’s Scholarship. I was so happy to get this great opportunity as it will give me great financial relief and allow me to focus on my studies.
