How to fund my training
Depending on your background, several schemes can cover all or part of your training. Here's how.
If you are an international professional and you want to undertake one of our Executive Education Programme, we are supporting your funding through scholarship and early bird discounts.
Scholarship
Rennes SB offers scholarships for our programmes.
Early bird discount
We also offer preferential rates if you register early for the programme. To check your eligibility and to apply for a scholarship or an early bird discount, book an appointment with our counselors.
Compte Personnel de Formation (CPF ‘Personal Training Account’, formerly known as DIF)
The CPF allows all workers to collect training allowance credits up to €5,000 (€500 in credits per year, full-time equivalent) or €8,000 for certain profiles (such as unqualified workers, or employees with a disability).
Eligibility
All employees can use it to fund recognised certificate courses and higher certificate courses (as most of our programmes are).
Please note that since 01/01/2025, a flat co-payment of €102.23 applies, with possible exemptions (e.g. employer/OPCO co-funding).
How to apply
The training provider is paid directly after completion.
Projet de Transition Professionnelle (PTP 'Career Transition Project', formerly known as CIF)
PTP funds certified training as part of a career change, maintaining pay according to scales for employees who meet seniority conditions. It covers all or part of tuition and part of your salary.
Employees on permanent contracts must have worked for a minimum of 24 months (whether consecutively or not), including 12 months in their current company.
Employees on temporary contracts must have been employed for a total of two years over the past five years (including four months minimum on a temporary contract over the past 12 months).
You must first obtain your employer’s authorisation for time off, then submit a complete application to Transitions Pro.
Find out more about the steps to follow on the French Government website.
Plan de Développement des Compétences (PDC 'Skill-set Development Scheme"
The PDC groups together all training actions planned by the employer to develop employees’ skills in line with the company strategy.
If you’d like your chosen course or training programme to be incorporated into the Plan de Développement des Compétences contact your HR or Training team to present your project and objectives in the context of your career path.
Please note that companies with fewer than 50 employees can request top-up funding from their OPCO to significantly reduce their out-of-pocket cost.
FNE renforcé and FSE+
FNE renforcé enables companies to finance training actions for their employees, including managers. Access is via your OPCO.
FSE+ is another possibility. It is funded at European level and deployed in France by the State and Regions, and can be used until the end of December 2025.
Speak with your HR Director so your OPCO can check eligibility.
Aide Individuelle à la Formation (AIF)
AIF can top up or fully fund training when CPF is not sufficient, for people registered with France Travail. It finances eligible tuition within regional limits.
Contact your personal adviser at France Travail to expose your project.
The course must make sense in the context of your career trajectory, and be of assistance in getting you back into work.
CPF with France Travail top-up
France Travail can add to your CPF balance to cover the remaining cost if your rights are insufficient. Tuition is covered up to the sum of CPF plus the top-up.
Top-ups are subject to conditions. When you select a course, you can see immediately if you’re eligible for regional or other co-funding. The €102.23 co-payment may be waived in some cases.
If funding is approved, your enrolment is validated automatically and you can start training.
The Brittany Region
The Brittany Region can support certified training projects aligned with territorial needs for jobseekers and, depending on the scheme, employees in transition.
Our degree programmes “Responsable de Centre de Profit” and EMBA are eligible under the applicable schemes.
Contact France Travail to build your file. Access depends on regional eligibility and the coherence of your career plan.
Compte Personnel de Formation (CPF, formerly DIF)
Self-employed workers also have a CPF account that can be used for eligible training.
As with employees, funding is capped by your rights and includes the €102.23 co-payment.
How to apply As for employees, applications are made via Mon Compte Formation.
Fonds d’Assurance Formation (FAF)
Your sector’s FAF (linked to your NAF code and CFP contribution) can reimburse part of tuition up to an annual cap.
Apply before the start of training with the required documents (URSSAF certificate, syllabus, quote). If approved, reimbursement follows the fund’s rules.
Compte Personnel de Formation
The company and employee can co-construct a training pathway by using the employee’s CPF with employer top-up and/or by arranging work time to attend training.
Tuition is covered by the CPF plus the top-up. Implementation is carried out on Mon Compte Formation via a tripartite agreement.
Plan de Développement des Compétences (PDC)
For individual or collective actions, training is integrated into the PDC and may be covered by the OPCO (sector scales). Any remainder is paid by the company.
To activate your funding, you need to follow these three-steps.
Most Executive Education Rennes SB programmes are RNCP-certified and can be funded through the schemes above.
Our teams help you identify the right option and build your file (Mon Compte Formation, Transitions Pro, OPCO, France Travail) to secure your enrollment.
