In a context where rapidly obsolescent skills, technological advances – particularly in artificial intelligence – and societal and regulatory challenges are profoundly transforming organisations, the Learning & Development (L&D) function is becoming a major strategic lever.

The Next Chief Learning Officer (Next CLO) programme, designed and led by a consortium of companies, supports L&D executives and future leaders in transforming their Training & Development departments or Corporate Universities. The objective is to position learning as a driver of innovation, agility and sustainable growth, serving both companies and talent.

Programme content

Designed as a hybrid and immersive learning journey, the programme alternates between face-to-face highlights, virtual masterclasses, individual projects and mentoring. The teaching combines academic input, peer-to-peer experience sharing, case studies and real-life scenarios. Throughout the programme, participants work on a personal project that is directly applicable to their professional context.

Base camp (online)

Presentation of the programme and formation of the cohort, exploration of the current learning landscape, definition of the CLO’s skill set, diagnosis of their learning profile and framing of their personal project. ge, définition du cadre de compétences du CLO, diagnostic de son profil d’apprentissage et cadrage du projet personnel. 

Bootcamp 1 – Structure and culture (in-person, 3 days)

Analysis of the business and organisational challenges addressed by the L&D function, the link between learning, organisational development and corporate culture, building a learning organisation, learning expedition on educational technologies, leadership and talent development.

Personalised learning path and virtual masterclasses

Online modules on learning agility, impact measurement and strategic influence, marketing in L&D, project management for training, as well as additional resources and discussions on the community platform.

Bootcamp 2 – L&D Strategy and Next-Generation Corporate University (in-person, 3 days)

Developing a learning strategy, leveraging data and AI, governance models, company visit to discover an innovative corporate university, reflection on the key roles and skills of the function.

Certification (in-person, 0.5 days)

Presentation of personal project, sharing of commitments made and final assessment.
