Disability support

Rennes School of Business places inclusion and equal opportunities at the heart of its educational mission. True to its values of diversity and openness, the school is actively committed to providing students with disabilities with an accessible, supportive and equitable learning environment. Discover our facilities, personalised support and concrete actions to ensure that everyone has the same opportunities for success.

A school committed to equal opportunities

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy, Rennes School of Business takes proactive measures against all forms of discrimination. The aim is to guarantee every student, regardless of their situation, the best conditions for academic and professional success.

Welcoming students with disabilities or long-term illnesses is at the heart of this approach. The school has therefore developed a support policy based on three main areas:

  • Developing the accessibility of all its facilities;
  • Supporting each student throughout their studies;
  • Raising awareness among the entire student and teaching community.

Accessibility of our campuses: facilities designed for everyone

Rennes School of Business is committed to ensuring that its campuses are functional and inclusive. The buildings in Rennes and Paris have been adapted to meet the needs of people with reduced mobility or specific disabilities, guaranteeing them access to buildings, lecture theatres, classrooms, catering, relaxation and sports facilities.

These architectural inclusion efforts are part of a process of continuous improvement, in consultation with students and inclusion experts.

Individualised and confidential support

Any student concerned can, upon request, receive specific personalised support from the dedicated team of the Feel Good programme. The aim is to adjust the academic pathway according to health or mobility needs, in complete confidentiality.

Types of adjustments offered

  • Examination arrangements: extra time, authorised medical breaks, use of specific equipment.
  • Teaching: exemption from attendance upon presentation of a medical certificate, support in following courses.

The procedure is simple: a confidential appointment with the Feel Good team triggers the implementation of appropriate measures, validated on the basis of a simplified file.

A collective commitment: everyone is involved, everyone is responsible

Rennes SB also takes action in the areas of prevention and education within its community. Far from limiting itself to an administrative response, the school promotes an inclusive vision of disability, whether visible or invisible.

Did you know?

  • 80% of disabilities are invisible.
  • One in two working people will be confronted with a disability during their professional life.

To break down prejudices and promote a better understanding of the realities of life with a disability, RSB organises the following every year:

  • Awareness campaigns (exhibitions, conferences, workshops);
  • Themed events on disability and long-term illnesses;
  • Training for teachers and administrative staff.

The disability advisor: dedicated support

A disability advisor is based at Rennes School of Business to coordinate procedures, answer students’ questions and liaise between students, teaching staff, the administration and external partners, ensuring consistent and compassionate support. All discussions are confidential and personalised.

Inclusion extended to professional integration

Support does not stop at schooling. Rennes SB also ensures that it:

  • Facilitates the professional integration of students with disabilities;
  • Raises awareness among partner companies about diversity and adaptation issues;
  • Creating concrete bridges with recruiters committed to CSR.

Workshops, personalised coaching and events linked to the Career Centre reinforce this approach.

Towards an inclusive and responsible school

Rennes School of Business is continuing its inclusive transformation through structural projects based on its founding values: openness, respect and diversity. Every action taken to accommodate disabilities reflects a strong ambition: to make the school a place of equal opportunities, where everyone can realise their potential.

Because inclusion is a source of richness, Rennes School of Business is committed to creating a school that reflects the world its students will transform.

The welcome given to people with disabilities at Rennes School of Business is not limited to administrative measures: it is a genuine human and educational commitment. By combining accessibility, attentiveness and personalised support, the school creates an environment that is conducive to the development of all its talents, without distinction. This dynamic fully reflects its DNA: Unframed Thinking.
