The ILI (Incubator & Learning Innovation) Department operates on three levels: it trains and advises faculty in the evolution of their teaching practices, designs innovative learning resources, and leads the integration of educational technologies across the School. By addressing key challenges related to skills development, social responsibility, inclusion, and digital transformation, it promotes a holistic approach to teaching and learning.
As artificial intelligence continues to transform higher education, RSB relies on ILI to support the School’s departments and programmes in identifying, testing, and deploying AI solutions tailored to their specific needs.
This mission is structured around three complementary areas:
Technology is not an end in itself. Before any deployment, ILI evaluates each tool against three key criteria: its measurable pedagogical impact, its sustainability, and its accessibility for all learners.
Generative AI in Education ILI supports faculty in the thoughtful integration of AI through pedagogical prompting, guidance on student use cases, and the co-creation of practical learning activities.
Opened in early 2026, the E-Motion Room embodies the next generation of learning environments at RSB. It was designed around a guiding principle: the classroom should adapt to the learning experience, not the other way around. Its architecture is therefore fully flexible, featuring mobile furniture, embedded technology, and equipment that can be made virtually invisible depending on the pedagogical scenario.
Integrated technological equipment:
E-Motion Learning places students at the center of their learning journey: learning through action, experiencing moments that engage the mind, heart, and body, and reflecting in order to grow and develop.
The Learning Show 2025, held in Rennes, brought together education and training professionals to explore the challenges of the school of the future and emerging learning experiences.
On this occasion, RSB students led reverse mentoring sessions for event participants, sharing their perspectives on the future of education and the transformations driven by artificial intelligence. This collaborative experience highlighted an active, innovative, and forward-looking approach to learning and teaching.
RSB celebrates the commitment and creativity of its faculty through its Teaching Excellence and Innovation Award. Presented annually, this distinction recognizes the most innovative, impactful, and inspiring teaching approaches, including new course formats, collaborative practices, and pedagogical experimentation.
Teaching excellence cannot be imposed—it is built, tested, and continuously refined. Working alongside faculty and students, ILI develops learning experiences every day that foster engagement, collaboration, and adaptability.
Through its pedagogical innovations, support for the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence, and the development of immersive learning environments such as the E-Motion Room, Rennes School of Business demonstrates a vision of higher education that is innovative, demanding, and firmly focused on the future.
