What are dual degree programmes?
A dual degree programme allows students to complete two separate degrees in less time than pursuing them independently. Unlike a double major, which remains within one single major, a dual pathway leads to distinct qualifications from one or more university schools.
How to apply for dual degrees?
Students must follow the procedure for the dual degree: first be nominated by their home university school, then submit the official application with transcripts, CV, and language certificates.
What is the difference between dual and double majors?
A double major means studying two subjects within one single major, while a dual degree programme results in two separate degrees, often awarded by a home university school and a partner school.
What are the benefits of dual degrees?
These programmes provide a degree with academic breadth, access to financial aid, potential tuition benefit, and greater employability in the global job market.
Which universities offer dual degree programmes?
International institutions such as Rennes School of Business provide prestigious international dual degree programmes. Others are located in global hubs such as Paris, London or New York.
What fields can I study in dual degrees?
Options include business administration, political science, liberal arts, public health, the school of law, the school of engineering, computer science, or social science.
How long does a dual degree take?
An undergraduate degree usually takes three years, while a dual degree programme generally requires one or two additional years depending on the graduate tuition structure and chosen field.
What is the cost of dual degree programmes?
The cost varies according to the school of business, the partner school, and whether you qualify for financial aid, undergraduate merit-based awards, or other tuition benefit schemes. In most cases, students pay fees to their home university school.
