Exchange – Level 3

Rennes School of Business offers international students the opportunity to join its Level 3 Exchange Programme, corresponding to the third and final year of the Bachelor in Management (BiM). This programme is designed for motivated students seeking advanced business knowledge in a globally oriented academic environment. All courses are conducted in English, and students become part of a highly international cohort, fostering cross-cultural collaboration and networking.

Key dates and Requirements

Academic Structure and Specialisations

The Level 3 Exchange Programme allows students to specialise in one of three fields:

  • Sales and Marketing
  • Finance and Banking
  • Purchasing and Supply Chain Management

Students attend classes at RSB alongside local and international peers, gaining exposure to the latest business practices and methodologies.

Academic Calendar 

  • Fall Semester: Beginning of September – End of December
  • Spring Semester: Mid-January – End of April

The structured academic calendar ensures students receive a full semester of intensive coursework, preparing them for careers in global business environments.

Admission Requirements 

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Academic Requirements:

  • 120 ECTS in Business studies or a minimum of 2 years of undergraduate education in Business for Level 3 entry.

Language Requirements:

  • Minimum B2 level in English (except for native speakers).
  • Students should be able to participate in lessons, make presentations, write reports, and complete examinations.

Course Selection and Credit System

RSB uses the European Transfer Credit System (ECTS) for smooth credit transfer.

  • Standard Workload: 30 ECTS per semester
  • Course Selection:
  • Based on home institution requirements, career objectives, pre-requisites, availability, and timetable.
  • Email notifications for course selection are sent in June (Fall semester) and November (Spring semester).

Management Modules per Semester:

  • Minimum: 16 ECTS
  • Maximum: 32 ECTS (including optional language modules)

30 ECTS ≈ 15 US credits or 60 UK credits.

In addition to their chosen specialisation, all students select up to four core modules each semester, which provide foundational business knowledge and essential skills for global management:

Fall Semester Core Modules:

  • International HR Management
  • International Negotiation Skills
  • Strategy
  • International Business Environment

Spring Semester Core Modules:

  • Mindful Decision-Making
  • Project Management
  • Doing Business in France
  • Entrepreneurial Thinking and Innovation

These modules are designed to equip students with analytical, managerial, and strategic competencies applicable across international business contexts.

Specialisation Tracks

Students choose one track only:

Finance:

  • Fall: Financial Mathematics, Concepts of Corporate Finance, Financial Analysis
  • Spring: Financial Markets and Risk Management, Banking Systems and Services, Fundamentals of Auditing

Marketing:

  • Fall: Omni Channel Management & Distribution, Digital Marketing Strategy, Consumer Behaviour
  • Spring: Business to Business Marketing, Digital Marketing Communications, Brand Management and Sustainability

Supply Chain:

  • Fall: Supply Chain Management, Purchasing Management, Inventory Management & Warehousing
  • Spring: Operations & Production Management, Transportation and Distribution Management, Introduction to Supply Chain Analysis

Optional Language Modules

  • French Culture
