Summer Programme – Digital Marketing and Branding

This module introduces digital marketing and branding, focusing on how internet and digital technologies drive marketing strategy and growth. It covers key processes such as customer acquisition, retention, and relationship management through digital channels.

Programme

The main objective of this module is to introduce one of the many forms of marketing but with digital orientation, marketing where the internet and its digital media spin-offs remain as the engine of growth.

This module is designed to enable students to understand the challenges of deploying internet and digital technology to achieve marketing goals, and the key marketing activities managed for digital marketing.

This includes:

  1. operating processes for acquisition, conversion/proposition development, retention and growth, as well as their supporting processes
  2. management processes such as strategy and planning and managing relationships. Therefore, the aim of this module is also to provide students with a deeper understanding of the concepts, techniques, and best practices to develop a digital marketing and branding strategy and to support all the digital marketing processes

Module Intended Learning Outcomes

At the end of this module, students will be able to:

  • Evaluate the relevance, advantages, and challenges of digital platforms and digital media to marketing
  • Evaluate techniques for reviewing the importance of different actors in the micro and macro environment in the creation/development of digital marketing strategy.
  • Relate the digital marketing strategy to marketing and business strategy.
  • Assess how to integrate social and mobile interactions for customer relationship management.
  • How to create brands in the digital world.
  • Appreciate the importance of consumer insights, differentiation, brand promise and clear brand voice for successful online branding.

Fees

  • Fee-paying students: €90 non-refundable registration fee and €1550 programme fee
  • Exchange students: €90 non-refundable registration fee. Then tuition fees will be waived if an agreement has been signed between Rennes School of Business and the home institution.

Admission

Level: Undergraduate and Postgraduate

Assessment methods: Students will complete and be graded on an individual presentation, a group presentation, and a final exam.

Faculty: The classes will be given by members of the Marketing department at RSB.

Prerequisites

  • Successful completion of at least one year of undergraduate-level studies.
  • Strong command of spoken and written English.
  • The fundamentals of marketing.

Credits

: Students who successfully complete the programme will be awarded 6 ECTS/3 US credits.
