Summer Programme – Sustainable Business

This programme explores how organisations can balance economic, social, and environmental goals to build sustainable strategies. Through global and local CSR practices, you’ll learn how responsible managers and stakeholders collaborate to drive positive change and create a more sustainable future.

Programme objectives

This two-week Summer Programme includes 27 contact hours at Rennes School of Business, and personal study time to socialise and work with the other students on your course. Students will develop their environmental and social awareness and sharpen their problem-solving, presentation, and cross-cultural communication skills during team projects in a multicultural learning environment.

The learning content provides an integrated view of how responsible managers can address key environmental and social concerns. Students will examine the issues affecting key stakeholders in addition to two specific problems facing the planet – the proliferation of plastic and fast fashion.

Module Intended Learning Outcomes

At the end of this module, students will be able to:

Analyse cross-cultural management situations using cultural dimension models.
Assess cross-cultural communication and team dynamics and give your recommendations.
Underline people management issues in international business alliance situations and give relevant guidelines.

Fees

Fee-paying students: €90 non-refundable registration fee and €1550 programme fee
Exchange students: €90 non-refundable registration fee. Then tuition fees will be waived if an agreement has been signed between Rennes School of Business and the home institution.

Assessment methods

Students will complete and be graded on an individual presentation, a group presentation, and a final exam.

Faculty

A multicultural team of professors from Rennes School of Business with expertise in CSR.

Prerequisites

Successful completion of at least one year of undergraduate level studies.
Strong command of spoken and written English.

Credits

Students who successfully complete the programme will be awarded 6 ECTS/3 US credits.
