Operations Research and Sustainable Supply Chain Management

Dr Khakim Habibi is an Assistant Professor in the Supply Chain Management & Information Systems department at Rennes School of Business. He is a nationally qualified Maître de Conférences (equivalent to Associate Professor) in France under Section 61 (Computer Science). He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Université de Lyon (operated at École des Mines de Saint‑Étienne), France, as well as master’s degrees from Grenoble INP and Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Indonesia. Prior to his current position, he held postdoctoral positions at ONERA – The French Aerospace Lab and Université d’Artois, and was a visiting doctoral researcher at IIT Kharagpur, India. His research focuses on supply chain analytics, including network design, closed-loop systems, routing problems, and stochastic modeling. Dr. Habibi teaches courses at all levels on topics such as supply chain analytics, distribution management, and sustainable logistics. He has published in journals like International Journal of Production Economics, Computers & Industrial Engineering, and International Journal of Production Research, and serves as a reviewer for several academic journals. He is actively involved in funded research projects and academic associations such as ROADEF, EurOMA, and POMS. He has supervised PhD, DBA, and Master students and contributes to executive education programs.
