Innovation and Business Strategy

Dr Dirk Schneckenberg is a Full Professor of Strategy and Innovation at Rennes School of Business. He served as Head of the Center for Technology and Innovation Management (2018-2015), Head of eLearning Strategy (2014-2012), and Head of the Strategy and Marketing Department (2008-2007)). He holds a doctorate from the University of Duisburg-Essen and a Magister Degree from the University of Cologne, Germany. His research interests comprise business strategy and digital innovation, with a recent focus on AI philosophy and ethics, business model innovation, and technology’s role in organizational change. He has a strong publication record, including over 100 peer-reviewed contributions and four books. His work has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the R&D Management Best Paper Award 2025, the PREP 2023 Best Research Contribution Award, and the Aalto University School of Business “That’s Interesting!” Award (2015). He is also actively involved in the academic community, co-chairing tracks at major conferences for the European Academy of Management (EURAM) and R&D Management.
