Dr Dieter Vanwalleghem is Assistant Professor of Finance at Rennes School of Business. He earned his Ph.D. in Finance from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and an MSc in Financial Economics from the University of Oxford. His research focuses on corporate and sustainable finance, with interests in institutional theory, sustainability transitions, and financial institutions. He has published in journals such as Journal of World Business, The Energy Journal, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money, and Economics Letters. At Rennes SB, he teaches across undergraduate, graduate, and executive programs, covering corporate finance, financial economics, international finance, and sustainable finance. From 2019 to 2024, he served as Programme Director of the International MBA. His work addresses sustainable investment, cross-border banking, and the evolving role of finance in the energy transition.
