Dr Canan Yildirim is an Associate Professor of Finance with a Ph.D. in Economics from Lancaster University (UK). Her expertise spans banking, international finance, and environmental policy. Her research has been published in top journals such as Journal of Banking and Finance, International Business Review, and The Energy Journal, focusing on multinational banking, cross-border M&As, and ESG in global firms. With academic experience across Europe, the UK, Mexico, and Turkey, she has over two decades of teaching and research experience. She is also a Fellow at the Center for Social and Economic Research (CASE) in Poland, has contributed to EU- and World Bank-funded projects, and is actively involved in research on sustainability and financial sector transformation.
