Dr Karim Zkik is an Associate Professor of Cybersecurity and Management of Information Systems. He earned his Ph.D. in Cybersecurity, Networking, and Computer Sciences from Mohamed V University in Rabat and obtained his Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR) from the University of Angers. Prior to joining Rennes School of Business, he was a Professor at ESAIP Graduate School of Engineering and previously held academic roles at the International University of Rabat and other institutions in Morocco and France.
His research interests revolve around cybersecurity, cyber resilience, blockchain, artificial intelligence, and the security of industrial and platform-driven systems. He has experience teaching classes at different levels (undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate, and executive) in information systems, cybersecurity, ethical hacking, data management, AI and machine learning, and network security.

He has published in leading journals including Computer Networks, Decision Support Systems, International Journal of Logistics Research and Applications,Annals of Operations Research, Production Planning & Control, Journal of Network and Computer Applications, and Computers & Industrial Engineering. He serves also as a reviewer for several top-tier journals such as IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology and ACM Transactions on Internet Technology.

He has been involved in several national and international projects such as the ANR-funded European Project CyberSkills4All, Erasmus+ CDC-IoT, and regional initiatives in France supporting cyber resilience and AI integration. As an internationally recognized expert, he has also advised companies and public institutions on cybersecurity training and digital transformation.
