Rennes School of Business takes part in the 2026 Marathon Vert!

On 18 October 2026, Rennes hosted another edition of the Rennes Groupe Interaction Marathon Vert. As a partner of this unmissable local sporting event, Rennes School of Business joined forces with the organisers for this occasion, which celebrated sport, pushing one’s limits and a sense of community.

A Collective Effort in the Heart of Rennes

Once again this year, Rennes School of Business partnered with the Marathon Vert, a major sporting event in the Rennes region.

Nearly 60 members of the RSB community, including students, staff and alumni, registered for the various races, united by a shared sporting challenge.

However, this edition faced some disruptions. Initially scheduled for Saturday evening and then postponed to Sunday afternoon, the 5 km races, the Mile Battle and the 10 km race were ultimately cancelled by order of the local authorities. These races are expected to be rescheduled for a later date.

Despite these changes, the marathon, duo marathon and relay marathon were able to take place on Sunday morning, thanks to the dedication of the Marathon Vert teams, who worked throughout the night alongside the City of Rennes services to ensure these races could go ahead. RSB would like to thank them for their commitment and responsiveness.

Students Involved on Every Front

Beyond the races, 36 Rennes School of Business students volunteered, taking on eight different types of tasks, including welcoming runners, logistics, refreshment stations, entertainment and helping organise the marathon village.

The atmosphere was also brought to life by Stéphanie Lopez, an RSB student and DJ, who helped energise Place de la République.

Two associations were also present at the marathon village: Léo pour le Monde, supported by the School since its creation, and R’Store, which showcases Rennes School of Business colours through its merchandise.

An Event Bringing the RSB Community Together

Through this partnership, Rennes School of Business reaffirms its strong ties to the Rennes region and its commitment to supporting local initiatives.

Whether at the starting line, behind the scenes or taking part in the entertainment, students, staff and alumni all contributed in their own way to making this 15th edition a success.

A big thank you to the entire RSB community for their energy and commitment, as well as to the Marathon Vert organisers and volunteers for their dedication!
