In the face of rapid changes in the economy and career paths, entrepreneurship is now emerging as a pathway to the future. With its new incubator, The Gen E, Rennes School of Business is fully embracing this momentum.
Designed as an independent support structure, The Gen E is aimed at a broad audience: students outside RSB, recent graduates, professionals, idea holders, career changers, and individuals already involved in a project.

Long perceived as a lengthy process requiring years of preparation, entrepreneurship is now undergoing a profound transformation. New generations are adopting a more direct, agile, and experimental approach.
The figures reflect this shift: 25% of students plan to start a business immediately after graduation, while 56% of 16–29-year-olds want to create several companies during their lifetime. At the same time, more and more professionals are launching entrepreneurial ventures after a first career, including after the age of 45.
This transformation reflects a new way of doing business: testing quickly, learning by doing, and continuously adapting.
With The Gen E, Rennes School of Business offers much more than a programme: it provides a true entrepreneurial ecosystem. Its ambition is clear: to turn intention into concrete projects.
Here, the traditional logic is reversed: the goal is no longer to prepare to become an entrepreneur, but rather to learn through entrepreneurship itself. Participants are encouraged to create, test, adjust, and start again in a stimulating environment.
This incubator brings together a multidisciplinary community of students, recent graduates, entrepreneurs, executives, coaches, and experts from a wide range of fields including business, engineering, design, and healthcare. This diversity encourages exchanges, the sharing of ideas, and the emergence of innovative projects.
Located within a dynamic economic and scientific ecosystem, The Gen E connects entrepreneurs, companies, and researchers to foster the emergence of high-impact projects.
This initiative builds on Rennes School of Business’s long-standing entrepreneurial commitment, with significant results: 168 entrepreneurs supported in 2025, 1,276 entrepreneurial Alumni, and €217 million raised. The School is also ranked No. 1 in France for its rate of student entrepreneurs (L’Étudiant, 2023).
The Gen E supports you wherever you are in your project journey through a progressive pathway.
Three different support tracks, one shared vision to move forward together.
