Master 2 in International Finance strengthens curriculum through AMF certificate learning integration

The Master 2 in International Finance at Rennes School of Business strengthens its curriculum through the integration of AMF certificate learning, equipping students with key competencies in financial regulation, markets and emerging financial technologies.

The Master 2 in International Finance incorporates AMF certificate learning through an integrated curriculum mapping approach. This enhancement has been designed to ensure that students progressively develop the competencies required to prepare for the AMF examination, while strengthening the academic and professional relevance of the programme.

Rather than being delivered as a standalone component, AMF-related learning is embedded across the curriculum of the MSc in International Finance. According to the mapping, this structure is intended to ensure that students acquire the knowledge base and applied understanding necessary to engage with key areas of financial regulation, market functioning, quantitative methods, financial technologies, and professional conduct.

Integration of AMF competencies across core finance courses

The integration is distributed across several courses in MSc-IF 2. In Advanced Corporate Finance, students address topics related to financial regulations and compliance, financial instruments and market functioning, and ethics and professional conduct, including financial market regulation, investment products, investor protection, and anti-money laundering. In Quantitative Finance, the curriculum covers mathematics and quantitative finance as well as risk management and compliance, with content including probability, statistics, value at risk, stress testing, and market and credit risk.

Extending AMF alignment through fintech, AI and programme positioning

The AMF learning pathway is further reinforced through AI and FinTech and Coding and Data Sciences. These courses introduce students to financial technologies and innovation, such as digital payments, blockchain, robo-advisors, and AI applications in trading and credit scoring, while also addressing regulatory considerations in financial innovation, including data privacy and ethical AI in finance.
Overall, this curriculum design strengthens the positioning of the Master 2 in International Finance by aligning academic content with competencies directly relevant to the AMF framework. It also reflects Rennes School of Business’ commitment to preparing students for the regulatory, analytical, and technological dimensions of contemporary finance.
