As Rennes School of Business grows, its international recognition continues to grow with it! From its academic excellence and the quality of its programmes to its international identity, the School’s performance has earned it a wide range of accreditations and labels.
Yet more praise was heaped on the School in September 2021, when Jean-Yves Le Drian, French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs took to the stage during the School’s 30th-anniversary celebrations to describe Rennes SB as “a jewel of Brittany” and “an asset for the region”.
“I am delighted to see this school develop and acquire an impressive stature, and that it has found its place in the big leagues. I notice that you have taken up three challenges: – positioning the school under the sign of international openness from the very start, the bet of remaining open and connected to the realities of business in relation to changes in the economy and the challenge of openness to the major challenges of the agricultural, management, digital and geopolitics industries”.
With the renewal of its EQUIS and AMBA certificates adding to its continued recognition by AACSB, Rennes School of Business remains among the 1% of Business Schools worldwide to hold this triple accreditation, meaning that its students benefit from some of the highest global academic standards.
Ranked 24th best master’s in Finance worldwide and 8th in France by The Financial Times in 2021, the Rennes School of Business MSc in International Finance has also been awarded prestigious EFMD Programme Accreditation, a benchmark for internationally recognised and peer-reviewed programmes.
On 8 July 2021, Rennes SB was awarded the Qualiopi certification for a period of 3 years. The School’s entire portfolio of programmes was audited to obtain this national certification, which confirms the quality of the communication, implementation and monitoring of academic content while making it possible for the school to ensure funding for training programmes through certain organisations.
The High Council for the Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (Hcéres) recognises Rennes School of Business as a “real gem” with “many assets in this competitive environment of business schools and wider management training.” Their report underlines the strong strategic support provided by its governance, both internally and externally, its internationalisation as a confirmed asset, an attractive training portfolio, a healthy financial situation and a controlled financial process, as well as a significant increase in scientific production.
The School was awarded the qualification of Private Higher Education Institution of General Interest (EESPIG). This qualification, created by the 2013 law on higher education and research, attests to the School’s status as a not-for-profit Association and confirms its commitment to participating in the public service missions of higher education and research, including initial and continuing training, scientific and technological research, guidance, social promotion, professional integration, etc.
On 18 January 2022, the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MESRI) examined and approved the Grade de Licence for the Bachelor in Management at Rennes School of Business. This new recognition of the Bachelor’s degree is in addition to the Visa which was renewed in 2020 for the maximum duration of 5 years.
Since 2019, Rennes School of Business holds the “Welcome to France” label, a certification issued by Campus France which attests to the quality of support services for international students in terms of the quality and accessibility of information, support services, the content of academic programmes, assistance with accommodation, the quality of campus life and post-graduation follow-up of international students.
Jointly awarded by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, the Ministry of Higher Education and Research and the Ministry of Culture and Communication, the France Langue Etrangère (FLE- French as a Foreign Language) quality label is focused on five main areas: reception – premises – management – teaching staff – courses and programmes. Rennes School of Business has been awarded the maximum 4-year accreditation for the quality of its language teaching.
For the third consecutive year in 2021, U-Multirank named Rennes School of Business among the Top 25 schools and universities around the world for its international mobility, a criterion that measures the opportunities for students to study and work around the world during their degree.
The ranking takes different criteria into account in order to compare the prospect of international mobility within the different schools and universities, and considers both incoming and outgoing students, giving a more well-rounded view.
